Project Rationale 2 -What is Good?

Good is ...re-creating an experience!

Why?
1. Music Visuals
2. Elements of the performance, all senses.
3. The individual personal experience
4. Sharing an experience
5. The science behind creating a mood/ emotion

As Fever Ray nears an end i will create a one of pack that will be sent out to her fans to say thanks for supporting her throughout her solo project.

In order to achieve this i will produce a pack that is sent out to her fans on the mailing list which includes pieces from her live shows and videos such as masks, lights, insence to rre-create the emotion within your home, it will be a new way to listen to music, interactive and will enable Fever Ray to live on.

This will be produced using high quality processes such as die cutting, silver blocking and rich stocks as it will be a high budget one off piece and will be kept as a limited edition, special item, collectors item.

OUGD201- What is Good Concept Crit


My concept crit today really helped to finalise my idea and for me to move forward with it... my group thought the idea was really strong and that it sounded fun, unusual and liked the interactive nature of this lasting souvenir.
i need to make clear what my range is... is it the range of products i am packaging within the pack or should i package the range of singles to make a collectors pack?

OUGD201- Wrap it up

The brief
Identify, select and clarify one word, one image that sums up the good project.
Choose one net from each of the 5 groups.
Fully explore packaging of word and image for solutions.
Resolve 3 final solutions.


Target Audience
Fever Ray fans, merchandise packaging.

Tone of Voice
Serious, play with emotions of audience

Considerations
Content, word/ image, what i am packaging?, appropriate colours, font choices, format/ form, media chosen, stock! how experimentive can i be with the nets?

Mandatory Requirements
2 colours, 1 stock, 3 out of 5 nets, any size! plus all design development on blog!

Project Rationale 1 -What is Good?

Good is ...the experience of Fever Ray live show

Why?
1. Music Visuals
2. Elements of the performance, all senses.
3. The individual personal experience
4. Sharing an experience
5. The science behind creating a mood/ emotion

I intend to promote the live tour and the idea of reliving the experience to her fans, also it can be shared so it reaches people that don't know about her music.

In order to achieve this i will produce a pack that can be purchased that is full of items relating to the show so you can experience her music properly at home. It should generate the same emotions and make you more engaged and part of the experience than just listening to a CD.

This will be produced using high quality processes such as die cutting, silver blocking and rich stocks as it will be a high budget one off piece.

What do I want to achieve this yr?
