For this collaborative brief i would like to work with someone that shares similar interests in the area of design in which they would like to work in. I am very interested in design for retail, fashion and editorials/ magazines. I would like to work on a brief that allows me to experience this area of graphic design and will give me the opportunity to create work that i can show to companies to gain placements within the industry. In my collaborative partner i would like a creative, reliable designer who wants to create high quality, professional pieces, enjoys producing interesting layouts and is good at working with image and type together, as i am studying typography at the moment i would like someone from the image group to work with so we can combine our skills. I would like my partner to be inventive and experimentive with print methods and stock consideration and have knowledge and a passionate interest in the design now.

I would love to work with various high quality stocks and look at paper crafting and printing onto different textures and surfaces, i think this brief would allow me to create some high quality, professional pieces and would allow me to be really creative. This brief allows me to work with my desired target audience and client, Top fashion labels, boutique publishing houses. Being able to work on a fully integrated market campaign will allow us to explore the design through different mediums and develop a full range of pieces.

The brief seems very broad and i think this would make my work quite broad and weak. Knowing the way i work, i am more creative with a tightly constrained brief.

The People You're Not - at Cornerhouse from Cornerhouse on Vimeo.
"The People You're Not" is a Cornerhouse exhibition which takes a satirical trip through the private and public faces of fame; from the first heady days of idolisation and adoring fans, via rock and roll alter-egos, excess and media mockery to dysfunction, introversion and the darker side of the celebrity soul.
Presenting realised projects from Harry Hill, Norman Clayture & Edward Barton.
Designed and animated by www.designbyday.co.uk
Cornerhouse is Manchester's international centre for contemporary visual arts and film.
Located in the heart of the city and open seven days a week, we have 3 floors of contemporary art galleries, 3 screens showing the best of independent cinema, a bar, café and a bookshop. We also operate Cornerhouse Publications, an international distribution service for contemporary visual arts books and catalogues.
Cornerhouse's patrons are: Danny Boyle, Damien Hirst and Helen Mirren.
This is a piece of their moving image work which reminds me alot of my latest After Effects work, they might be interested in me if i sent them moving image work! It is something i really enjoyed and would definately be interested to work in.
